This property fails to meet expectations, for the price point. It shows owner neglect.
We planned to stay for a week but we are moving in the morning.
Extremely affordable, comfortable and convenient. The staff has one thing in common, they ALL go over and beyond to ensure guest are attended to promptly, professionally and courteously.
Wi-Fi needs some work, but the hotel was excellent other than that.
Sorry to say, was not able to find anything we liked about the hotel. For starters, the baggage carts are in miserable condition. The old timer wall AC unit was either freezing us out or off and the room was hot and muggy. We chose freezing... about 4am we were done trying to sleep and decided we would just get up, shower and depart. WRONG!! No hot water in the shower. Since there was hot water in the sink, seems the faucet valve was messed up. I informed the lady at the front desk and she apologized for the inconvenience. Really?? How about no charge and please get breakfast before you leave. I asked to have the manager call me to discuss the issue. Never received a call back. Needless to say, I will never stay in this hotel again and will exhaust all options before choosing Holiday Inn again in any city. Pathetic...
Great place to stay if in Hiawassee, GA. Five star breakfast buffet, great rooms, clean, fresh, roomy. Well managed. Beautiful mountains, lake wonderful recreation facilities.
