This family owned campground has the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a campground! We were there over the eclipse weekend and it was wonderful. The sites are very level and good sized. The river is clear and cold- perfect for August heat. Susan was so kind and the staff was very helpful. I was able to put my kayak in and paddle out to lake Chatuge Will definitely revisit this beautiful facility. Thank you!
There are not enough characters here to list my absolute and extreme plesantry with this campground. They made us feel at home & welcome in everything we did. The kids ran & played without any issues. Very well kept all around. The bathhouse was extremely nice as was the laundry room.
The BEST campground my husband and I have ever stayed at by far!! The owners are very friendly, keep a very nice, clean campground. The fireworks on the 4th of July are amazing, I've never seen such a show. Everyone that I have met is always nice and friendly! I've made so many new friends and its a wonderful weekend get-away!! The mountains are beautiful!!!
We will be back several times
The best camp ground I've ever been to!! The restrooms were nicer then most hotels and super clean. FYI: You can't buy alcohol on Sundays in this part of Georgia, you will need to go up to North Carolina, which is only a few miles away.
Several families from our home school group thoroughly enjoyed our time here this weekend. If you are looking for camping in the woods, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want a place that is clean, safe and well maintained, then we would recommend here. The crushed gravel sites were well maintained. The picnic tables were in good shape. Water and electric hook ups were in order. The owners were super friendly. And it was a great place for the kids to all pall around which felt quite safe. The fire ring in each campsite is a big truck tire rim. Our family chose to go hiking at High Shoals Falls a short drive away. We hear the road used to be really rough but we found it a good dirt road with a few washboard spots as happen on most mountain dirt roads. The hike was a pretty good drop in elevation but a clear trail to a beautiful waterfall. We enjoyed a nice picnic lunch there. On our way home today we visited Brasstown Bald. Thanks to the staff for nice facilities and a great attitude of hospitality.
